Job summary

Norden Chemicals & Logistics seeks a Process Operator to monitor and operate our LAS production process on site. You will handle reactors, pumps, and tanks, ensuring safe and efficient production in compliance with procedures.

You will monitor temperatures, pressures, flows, and concentrations, adjusting parameters as needed. You’ll also support loading/unloading, sampling for QC, and routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a process/production operator, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in handling hazardous and corrosive chemicals (acids, bases).
• Experience with process control systems (DCS) is a plus.
• VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one, is preferred.
• Forklift license, or willingness to obtain one, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment (reactors, pumps, tanks) for the LAS production process according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and control process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, concentration) and adjust as needed.
• Carry out loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products (tankers, IBCs, drums).
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance, and report malfunctions or deviations.
• Take process samples for QC laboratory analysis and record production data in logbooks/systems.
• Support start-up, shutdown, and cleaning of production lines.
• Follow all HSE procedures and wear required PPE when working with corrosive and hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the work area complies with safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with QC, HSE, and the Plant Manager to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Be available to work in shifts when required by the production schedule.

• Experience as a process/production operator, preferably in the chemical industry (candidates with a strong technical/mechanical background will also be considered)
• Knowledge of, or willingness to be trained in, working safely with hazardous and corrosive chemicals (acids, bases)
• Experience with process control systems (DCS) is a plus
• VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one, is preferred
• Forklift license, or willingness to obtain one, is a plus
• Willingness to work in shifts if required
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
• Fluent in Dutch (Flemish) and English — both required
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a hands-on and safety-first mindset
