Job summary

ING in Amsterdam seeks a Medior Process Expert to drive high-impact transformation in Digital and Scalable Operations. You will leverage process improvement, AI-enabled workflows and KPI-led initiatives across the bank, guiding complex change projects with independence and collaboration.

You will work in a hybrid setup with flexible home/office balance, contributing to scalable, data-driven solutions and to the development of DSO methodologies while partnering with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in process improvement, digitalisation or change initiatives.
• Experience in global organisations or cross-cultural projects.
• Experience with process frameworks and standards.
• Experience with AI, workflows or reporting technologies.
• Excellent command of English.

What Digital and Scalable Operations does:

We leverage process knowledge, data-driven insights and new technologies to drive high-impact transformation within the bank. We collaborate across functions to solve complex problems and shape the bank’s future. Examples of our work include:

• Shaping and delivering ING’s digital strategy by translating vision into actionable outcomes, such as AI scalable solutions or Straight-Through Processing (STP) processes. With a strong focus on implementation and tangible impact.
• Translating ING’s strategy into Target Operating Models or Service Designs for different business lines.
• Driving process (re)design journeys of customer-facing processes with a focus on operational efficiency, client experience, revenue growth, or risk reduction.
• Roll out process leadership and E2E process management in a specific domain
• Providing strategic insights to senior management through developing and measuring digitalization or efficiency metrics.
• Build and strengthen our own DSO value propositions to continue providing world-class services.

Your role:

As a Process Expert, you are dedicated to drive high-impact transformation within the bank by leveraging your specialized knowledge and approaches in process improvement and digitalization.

• You support complex change projects and can independently lead assignments of the right complexity.
• You analyse complex information, identify the main issues and translate your findings into practical recommendations and actions.
• You lead or support the development and implementation of process frameworks, performance measures and KPIs.
• You steer or support the execution of (complex) digitalisation and scalability initiatives, intervene where needed and ensure that the intended impact is delivered with the right quality and within agreed timelines.
• You identify dependencies and actively collaborate with the right stakeholders needed to deliver results.
• You take ownership of your work and raise risks, decisions or dependencies when support or alignment is required.
• You strengthen the work of colleagues by sharing expertise, providing constructive feedback and offering on-the-job coaching where relevant.
• You contribute to the development of DSO’s methodologies and value propositions by turning experience from assignments into reusable approaches.

Required background and working experience:

• An excellent academic background.4+ years of relevant experience in executing process improvement, digitalisation or change initiatives.
• Experience working in a global organisation or on projects involving different cultures and maturity levels.
• Experience working with process frameworks and standards.
• Experience with process or digitalisation technology, such as Artificial Intelligence, workflows or reporting.
• Excellent command of English.Knowledge of banking is considered an advantage.
