Overview

Process Engineer Are you motivated by analyzing complex processes, do you like working in a technical environment and do you enjoy solving and optimizing logistic puzzles? Then we are looking for you!

What will you be doing?

As Process Engineer you will be responsible for executing process optimizations on complex contemporary automated logistics solutions in use by our customers. You will need to find the right balance between focusing on the logistics process and on the supporting technology. To enable efficient and continuous process optimization work in the service phase, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of Vanderlande’s relation with the customer from sales to project execution to define the required KPIs, data, information, and tooling. You will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Make integral improvement proposals for the total (intra)logistics process of our customers.
  • Supporting the customer and project teams during the go-live period of the new system.
  • Performance improvement studies using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of the improvements, carrying out a pivotal role between customers and the Vanderlande organization. While doing so you take into account future developments in the customer market and are able to quantify the benefits of the proposed improvements.
  • Develop tools and methods to measure, monitor, and analyze system and process performance.

Your profile

As Process Improvement Engineer you are able to act on operational, tactical, and strategic level and you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way. You have strong analytical capabilities together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you are not afraid to take initiative and make decisions. You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build and maintain good relationships with our customers. You can think creatively and in conceptual terms and have a problem solving can do mindset.

  • You have finished a Master or Bachelor degree in a relevant (technical) education program (E.g. Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Information)
  • You have affinity with working in a technical and logistical environment
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytics
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Good command of English and Dutch (or willing to learn)
  • Willing to travel internationally 35% of your time
