Job summary

The Public Entity of Bonaire is seeking a driven Privacy Lawyer for a full-time 1 FTE role in the ICT location. You will provide privacy expertise, assess digital processes for GDPR compliance, and guide on legal privacy issues across departments and with the Digital Transformation Program Team.

Fluency in Dutch and knowledge of privacy regulations are essential. You will translate complex legal issues for non-legal colleagues, identify privacy risks early, and support the integration of privacy

Qualifications

For this position, you hold a university degree in law and have at least 3 years of relevant legal work experience.
You have demonstrable knowledge of privacy legislation such as Wbp BES and can assess digital processes for privacy risks.
You can translate legal frameworks into practical advice for non-legal colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide legal privacy expertise within the Public Entity of Bonaire.
Assess new and existing (digital) processes against privacy laws and advise on GDPR concerns.
Identify legal risks in DigiD/eHerkenning related data and propose safeguarding measures.
Collaborate with all departments and the Digital Transformation Program Team, and coordinate with JAZ on applicable legal frameworks.
Ensure privacy is integrated into the design of new digital services from the outset.
