Job mission
New Balance is seeking Privacy and AI Program Manager to lead the adoption of its global privacy and AI risk management programs in EMEA. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving regional privacy and AI frameworks that align with applicable laws, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, and emerging EU AI regulations. The Manager will serve as a strategic advisor to internal partners, ensuring that privacy and AI risk management is embedded in business operations. This position reports to the Director of Global Privacy and collaborates closely with Legal, Technology, and regional business leaders.
Major accountabilities
- Monitor developments in EU and UK privacy and AI legislation (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, EU AI Act), and translate relevant changes into actionable strategies.
- Understand and explain privacy and AI risks to technical and non-technical audiences to drive adoption of privacy and AI governance principles.
- Conduct regular data privacy impact assessments and audits to identify risks associated with data processing.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to embed privacy and AI requirements and risk mitigation controls into workstreams.
- Guide internal partners through completion of data inventory questionnaires to effectively map global data flows.
- Maintain complete and accurate privacy policies for the region.
- Manage critical workflows relating to data subject requests.
- Oversee the implementation and governance of cookie consent management solutions.
- Conduct deep dives into privacy processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver targeted training to increase organizational awareness of privacy and AI governance.
Requirements for success
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Relevant number of years of experience in privacy, project management, technology management, or similar role.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all organizational levels.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with a proven track record of managing programs with a spirit of continuous improvement.
- Broad understanding of relevant data privacy and AI laws.
- Experience with privacy technology solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with GenAI and AI technology.
