Job summary

Infosys Consulting is seeking a Principal to lead strategic projects in the High-Tech and semiconductor sectors, driving operational excellence and client value. You will guide cross-functional teams, shape business plans, and oversee budgets and P&L for large programs.

You will collaborate with executive leadership, manage stakeholder relationships, and mentor consultants while helping to grow the practice through hiring and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration.
• 8+ years of management consulting experience, with at least 4 years in High-Tech or semiconductor industries.
• Proven track record of delivering consulting and technology services and mentoring consulting teams.
• Experience driving digital, AI, Industry 4.0, supply chain or cybersecurity transformation programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects for High-Tech and semiconductor clients with a consultative mindset.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Manage client expectations and deliver value, with periodic executive updates.
• Grow the practice by hiring and coaching consultants and collaborating with Infosys lines like ADM, BPM and Engineering.
• Develop budgets, monitor P&L for High-Tech projects, and support financial modeling and investment cases.

The Role

To drive and grow our business specifically in High-Tech and Semiconductor, we are seeking experienced Principles with a strong background in high tech and business consulting to lead strategic projects at clients in the High-Tech industry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of industry expertise, leadership skills, and a consulting mindset to drive critical initiatives, optimize operations, and guide cross‑functional teams toward achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
  • Support the development of our High-Tech business to drive growth, operational efficiency, and market leadership
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and drive business plan for the High-Tech business
• Operations Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of projects ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget
• Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Managing client expectations on projects while delivering value for our clients
  • Provide periodic reports and presentations to senior leadership and board members on the status of key projects
• Team Management
  • Managing expectations and drive personal growth of the project team members
  • Support in growing the practice in hiring and coaching of our consultants
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner cross Infosys with other service lines like ADM, BPM and Engineering, and sales teams to ensure alignment in sales and delivery
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical teams to ensure smooth project execution and resource allocation
• Financial Oversight & P&L Responsibility
  • Develop and manage budgets for High-Tech projects, ensuring cost‑efficiency and alignment with company goals
  • Monitor P&L performance for the High-Tech business, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue growth
  • Work with finance teams to create financial models, forecasts, and investment cases for new semiconductor ventures

Qualifications

• Education
  • Master's degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration
• Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, with at least 4 years in the High-Tech and/or semiconductor industry
  • Previous experience within a consulting organisation, mentoring and guiding teams of consultants under direct leadership
  • Proven track record of achievement in delivering consulting and technology services
  • Strong experience in driving digital, AI, Industry 4.0, supply chain and/or cyber security transformation programs
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams and working in a matrixed environment
• Skills
  • Understanding of High-Tech and/or semiconductor industry, manufacturing and supply chain
  • Comfortable working at executive level within complex organisations, able to build empathy, credibility and trust with key stakeholders
  • Good presentation skills, experienced and comfortable presenting to large groups and delivering inspiring and engaging presentations
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead large teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel as needed
