Job summary

A fast-scaling B2B SaaS start-up is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Amsterdam. This role involves leading a team of engineers, hands-on coding, driving technical architecture, and mentoring developers. Required qualifications include extensive experience with Java, Angular, and team leadership. Qualifications

• 10+ years working experience within the JVM ecosystem (Java 21+).
• 4+ years of experience with Angular (version 15 or higher).
• 3+ years of experience leading teams & driving Developer Enablement.
• Experience with Public Cloud (GCP is a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ engineers and work with product management.
• Hands-on coding (approximately 40-50%).
• Technical architecture, code reviews, mentoring of mediors and seniors.
• Hiring and toolchain innovations.
• Performance reviews and 1:1s with engineers.
• Work on greenfield projects from design to implementation.
