Renesas Electronics Corp. seeks an experienced Principal EDA/CAD Engineer to lead engineering compute and design-data-management environments globally.

You will own Perforce Helix/IPLM-based methodologies, drive automation, and shape scalable Linux-based CAD environments across distributed teams. You will partner with engineering, CAD and IT groups to migrate and consolidate legacy systems, implement standardized project/workspace setups, and ensure robust data-management practices across analog

Formación

• Significant experience in EDA/CAD engineering, semiconductor design infrastructure or engineering compute environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Strong understanding of engineering compute, storage and data-management environments.
• Experience with Perforce Helix (P4) or comparable enterprise version-control/data-management technologies.
• Methodics IPLM or equivalent IP lifecycle-management experience.
• Experience with semiconductor EDA workflows.
• Strong Python and/or shell scripting skills.
• Experience supporting complex engineering project environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering and IT/infrastructure organizations.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for engineering compute infrastructure and CAD environments.
• Support Linux-based engineering environments across global teams.
• Define requirements for compute, storage and supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT/IS and engineering to meet semiconductor design requirements.
• Support migration and consolidation of legacy engineering environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and engineering-environment issues.
• Provide ownership for Perforce Helix and IPLM-based design-data-management methodologies.
• Develop IP creation, versioning, release and lifecycle management processes.
• Develop scalable approaches for managing analog and digital design data.
• Define data-management best practices and promote adoption across projects.
• Develop and support standardized project/workspace environments.
• Configure EDA tools and environment variables, Cadence setup.
• Create reusable project onboarding methodologies and improve cross-project consistency.
• Develop automation for engineering environment and data-management workflows.
• Create Python and shell-based utilities to reduce manual setup.
• Improve reliability and scalability of CAD infrastructure processes.
• Move data-management platforms toward Perforce/IPLM-based solutions.
• Maintain legacy support during transitions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides and best practices.
• Create and deliver training for compute and design-data-management environments.
• Support onboarding of projects and teams.
• Provide escalation support for complex CAD/data-management issues.
• Capture specialist knowledge in maintainable documentation.
