Job summary

Amsterdam UMC Research BV is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study sociocultural gender determinants in cardiovascular health within the EQUITY-AF project. You will work in an international, interdisciplinary team and collaborate with researchers across Europe to advance gender-focused health research.

The role emphasizes independent research, development of your own interests, and contribution to studies on women’s health and health equity. Three-year contract with renewal potential.

Qualifications

• PhD in a field relevant to gender and health, such as psychology, neuroscience or public health, or nearing completion.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Desirable: experience with mixed-methods research in sociomedical sciences and with ML approaches to health data.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research studies under the EQUITY-AF project.
• Investigate sociocultural gender determinants in cardiovascular health.
• Collaborate with researchers from different disciplines and European institutions.
• Develop your own research interests in gender, health and social factors.
