Job summary

Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join an 18-month project starting 1 October 2026. The work focuses on targeted oligonucleotide formulations for chronic inflammatory kidney disease in collaboration with Mercurna B.V.

You will design, perform and analyze experiments to improve cellular targeting, optimize coupling and analytical protocols, and contribute to preclinical development in an interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in biomolecular conjugation strategies and analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry and dynamic light scattering.
• Confocal microscopy experience is desirable.
• Ability to plan, execute and analyze experiments independently and document protocols and results.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform and analyse experiments to improve cellular targeting and formulations and advance late-stage preclinical development.
• Optimize coupling protocols and analytical workflows for oligonucleotide formulations.
• Collaborate with industry partner Mercurna B.V. to align preclinical efforts.
