The Department of Coastal Systems (COS) at NIOZ invites applications for a postdoctoral position to study spatiotemporal variation in macrozoobenthos in the Dutch Wadden Sea. The successful candidate will work with the SIBES monitoring data and contribute to state-of-the-art analyses of benthic communities.

You hold a PhD or expect to submit by early 2027, with strong background in ecology and macrozoobenthos, and proven data-analysis skills.

Formación

• PhD in ecology or related field, or expected submission by end of winter 2027.
• Experience with macrozoobenthos and handling large data sets.
• Strong statistical, analytical and computational skills.
• Proven ability to publish and present at an international level.
• Good collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Study spatiotemporal variation in macrozoobenthos in the intertidal habitat.
• Analyse data from the SIBES monitoring program for biomass and distribution.
• Collaborate with Dr. Allert Bijleveld and international partners.
