TU Delft invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position in Epistemology of Moral Experiences in Technology (TechnoMoralXP). You will develop the philosophical foundations of design for values, focusing on moral experiences and their epistemic role, collaborating with Dr James Hutton and Prof.

Qualifications

• PhD in philosophy with strength in metaethics, moral epistemology, ethics, or philosophy of emotion.
• Track record of high-quality research and writing in relevant areas of philosophy.
• Genuine interest in the ethics of technology and/or Design for Values; prior work welcome but not required.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team spanning philosophy and design and to connect abstract epistemology to applied design questions.
• Excellent command of English and academic writing skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the group’s intellectual life and education activities (up to 10%).

Responsibilities

• Develop the project's philosophical foundations as WP1 postdoc.
• Analyze the epistemic roles of moral experiences in justifying design decisions.
• Coordinate with WP2 to align theoretical work with a practical toolkit.
