Job summary

TU Delft invites a motivated researcher to join the IDEE project within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. The focus is on linking progression and retention of knowledge and skills across engineering education, developing cohesive curricula and evaluating educational practices.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team with TU Delft staff and a PhD student, applying action research and mixed methods to create practical guidelines for curriculum design and

Qualifications

• Experience with education research or engineering education is essential.
• Ability to conduct action research and apply mixed methods in educational settings.
• Strong skills in organizing research activities and engaging diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop progression and retention concepts for engineering education.
• Identify factors influencing progression and retention in curricula.
• Investigate and compare curricula across TU Delft programs.
• Create evidence-based guidelines for curriculum design in engineering education.
• Empirically test curriculum guidelines and interventions within IDEE projects.
