Utrecht University, Department of Physical Geography, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the WadSED project to co‑create shared narratives and conceptual models for sustainable sediment management. The role includes designing participatory processes with researchers, experts, stakeholders and policymakers in the Western Scheldt and Wadden Sea.

The position is field-based with flexible time commitment and a monthly salary between EUR 3,706 and EUR 5,760.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in social and environmental policy sciences or related discipline.
• Expertise in facilitating deliberative and participatory processes in social-ecological systems.
• Affinity with water management and demonstrable qualitative-research and scientific-writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and facilitate participatory processes with researchers, experts, stakeholders and policymakers.
• Develop shared narratives and conceptual models around sediment budgets, habitat development, sea-level rise and human interventions.
• Organise workshops to strengthen science–society learning.
