Job summary

Delft University of Technology invites a postdoctoral researcher to connect a proof assistant with CAP within a CAT/ALG framework. You will work across TU Delft and Universität Siegen, developing formalised categorical algorithms and open-source software, with publishing and conference opportunities.

The role includes supervision of students and potential teaching, with a flexible research agenda and collaboration across formalisation communities.

Qualifications

PhD awarded by start date or submitted with defence scheduled.
Research experience in interactive theorem proving/formalisation, computer algebra, or category theory evidenced by publications/thesis/software.
Demonstrated willingness to learn other areas and collaborate across maths/CS boundary.
Practical programming ability and comfort with a substantial existing codebase.
Strong written and spoken English; ability to supervise students and teach.

Responsibilities

Design and build connection between a proof assistant and CAP.
Formalise categorical doctrines underlying CAP and implement results as open-source software.
Publish results and present at conferences/workshops; contribute to open-source libraries.
Collaborate with TU Delft and Universität Siegen groups; supervise BSc/MSc projects; potentially teaching.
