Job summary

Netherlands Cancer Institute seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate BRCA1-related precancer using a multidisciplinary approach. You will work with a novel mouse model combining BRCA1 deficiency with Cre-lox LOH reporters, perform in vivo analyses, and translate findings into functional driver candidates.

Qualifications

• The applicant holds a PhD in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or a closely related discipline.
• Rigorous, analytical and quantitative mindset as a scientist.
• Experience with mouse models, lentiviral systems, CRISPR or mammary gland biology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the study of BRCA1-associated precancer and LOH in mouse models.
• Develop and test candidate drivers from human data and functional screens.
• Perform whole-mount imaging analysis at single-cell resolution to quantify clone persistence and progression.
• Investigate immune-epithelial interactions and tumorigenesis in precancerous ducts.
