Job summary

Robeco is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage bespoke fixed income portfolios for insurers, pension funds and wholesale clients. You will work with experienced colleagues on portfolio management, construction, research and proprietary front-office tooling.

You will monitor portfolios, assess risks, follow market developments and create client insights while implementing opportunities under client constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantitative, economic or finance-related field.
• Up to three years of relevant working experience.
• Strong analytical, modelling and programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and the ability to simplify complex problems.
• Fluency in English, clear communication skills, sound logic and a proactive, hands-on mindset.

Team

Robeco’s Fixed Income Solutions team is part of the Investment Solutions department and designs and manages bespoke investment solutions for institutional clients, with a strong focus on insurers and pension funds. We help clients translate complex objectives around return, risk, regulation, liabilities and sustainability into practical portfolio solutions across the fixed income universe. Portfolios managed by the team range from Buy and Maintain solutions to more customized credit, government bond, LDI and multi fixed income solutions.

Key innovation areas of the Fixed Income Solutions team are around scaling up the fixed income optimization platform Falcon, further developing the integrated quant and fundamental fixed income offering working closely together with the quant and fundamental teams, and integrating the latest climate & nature sustainability developments to facilitate client discussions and the management of new sustainable portfolios.

What you will do

As portfolio manager, you will be managing bespoke fixed income portfolios for insurers, pension funds and wholesale clients, working closely with experienced colleagues on portfolio management, portfolio construction, research and proprietary front-office tooling. You will monitor portfolios, assess portfolio risks, follow market developments, help create client insights and implement opportunities under client-specific constraints. The role offers broad exposure to financial markets, sustainability, regulation and the global insurance and pension industry. You will work with other fixed income teams, traders, client portfolio managers and operational portfolio management for the daily management, innovation and future development of the offering.

• Multidisciplinary scope: use your expertise of investments, client developments and sustainability and apply that to portfolios across a diverse and international client base.
• Innovation: help improve tools, AI use, processes and investment solutions in a growing area of the business.
• Ownership: build deep knowledge of portfolios and be responsible for the management across the operational, investment and commercial chain.
