Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Architect to lead the architecture and evolution of enterprise-grade platforms spanning Hybrid Cloud, Kubernetes, IDPs, AI/GPU infrastructure, automation and self-service development. Qualificações

• 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, cloud automation, platform engineering or enterprise architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale platforms and automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building or operating an Internal Developer Platform / Developer Portal.
• Experience with enterprise automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms or AI/ML platform engineering is highly desirable.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering Architect to lead the architecture and evolution of enterprise-grade platforms spanning Hybrid Cloud, Kubernetes, Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), AI/GPU infrastructure, automation, and developer self-service.

The role will be responsible for transforming complex infrastructure capabilities into standardized, reusable, governed and self-service platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform architecture, Kubernetes, cloud automation, CI/CD, developer platforms and emerging AI infrastructure.

The position requires a combination of hands-on technical architecture, platform product thinking, engineering leadership, automation expertise and stakeholder management.

Preferred Skills

Automation & Infrastructure Engineering

• Develop reusable automation capabilities for infrastructure provisioning and Day-2 operations.
• Design automation frameworks using Ansible, Terraform, VMware vRA/vRO/Aria, Chef, AWS and ServiceNow.
• Establish composable automation patterns that can be reused across multiple technology platforms and enterprise environments.
• Drive reduction of bespoke automation through standardized and governed engineering patterns.

CI/CD & Platform Lifecycle

• Design enterprise CI/CD and application lifecycle architectures.
• Establish build-once/promote-everywhere, ephemeral environment and automated rollback capabilities.
• Integrate source control, build, deployment and infrastructure automation into standardized delivery pipelines.
• Promote engineering practices that improve deployment consistency, repeatability and operational governance.

Agentic Automation

• Design and evolve AI-powered automation solutions for infrastructure and IT operations.
• Apply RAG, historical operational data, SOPs, tool integration and contextual decision-making to automation use cases.
• Explore autonomous incident remediation and AI-assisted operational workflows.

Architecture Governance

• Establish architecture standards, reusable reference architectures and engineering patterns.
• Ensure platform solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, scalability and operational requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, application, cloud, security and operations teams to drive platform adoption.

• Infrastructure: VMware and enterprise infrastructure platforms

Experience & Qualification

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud automation, platform engineering or enterprise architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale platforms and automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building or operating an Internal Developer Platform / Developer Portal.
• Experience with enterprise automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms or AI/ML platform engineering is highly desirable.
