Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Software Engineer for SQL Database Enablement to shape the resilience, performance, and developer experience of our database platform. You will join the SQL Databases Enablement Team, driving efficiency and autonomy while maintaining data durability and uptime.

You will design tooling in Python, Java or Go, automate tasks, and collaborate across Compute, Networking, and Storage to detect and recover from failures with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux and distributed systems knowledge.
• Proficient in Python, Java or Go and writing maintainable code.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases at scale.
• Experience operating OpenStack or Bare Metal fleets.

Responsibilities

• Build tooling and services to support SQL databases platform.
• Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks at kernel, network, or DB level.
• Improve developer experience by abstracting complexity.
• Participate in on-call rotation and reduce toil.
