About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in VMware installation and a strong foundation in automation. You’ll be part of a dynamic infrastructure team, helping to build and maintain robust, scalable platforms that support critical business operations.

This is a remote role, but due to the nature of the work and compliance requirements, candidates must be Dutch citizens and fluent in Dutch to pass the VOG (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag) background check.

• Install, configure, and maintain VMware environments, including provisioning virtual machines and managing virtual switches
• Design and implement automation workflows to streamline infrastructure deployment and operations
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and redundancy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform scalability and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across virtual and physical environments
• Document configurations, procedures, and best practices

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in platform or systems engineering
• Proven hands-on experience with VMware installation and configuration
• Strong background in automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
• Solid understanding of infrastructure monitoring, backup, and performance tuning
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
• Must hold a Dutch passport and be eligible for a VOG check
