At Celanese we are currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Coordinator to work on a "quite unique role" based in Geleen, NL.
The modality of this position is onsite Monday to Friday.
- Works on complex assignments through close collaboration with key regional stakeholders (Planner, Logistics, Purchasing, etc.) where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth identification and evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment within guidance from S&OP peers & leaders in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts also outside own area of expertise. Plays important role in the S&OP process working with Planners, Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, etc.
- Schedules production lines and reactors. Responsible for inventory levels and managing stock optimization, responsible for shelf life analyses and resampling, purchase requisitions for raw and packaging materials, ensures material transfer from warehouse to plant, from plant to warehouse and plant‑to‑plant (STO creation and organization of transport), key‑user for PP, analyses supply chain performance and defines KPIs to measure those, initiates projects for continuous improvement.
- Employee receives no instruction on day‑to‑day work. Schedules production lines / resupply packed goods to warehouse, raw material independently within area of responsibility. Consults manager only in case of difficult matters. Collaborates with other personnel to coordinate activities focusing on the overall result, including timely communication (Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, Logistics, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Create an optimal production schedule by reviewing outputs of advanced planning & scheduling tools including "what if" scenario analysis and resolve exceptions and issues.
- Work – with a determining influence – with key S&OP stakeholders on plan and scheduling feasibility that impact production, quality and selling success.
- Maintain key planning and scheduling data in SAP / capacity planning system (e.g., constraints, capacities, emulsion availability, stocking strategies, changeover metrics, run rates, min run sizes, trails)
- Track metrics and identify gaps; propose recommendations to improve; evaluate schedule performance, KPIs.
- Handle complex situations with the ability to professionally work under pressure to achieve good results.
- Resolve complex problems with creative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Support and back‑up of colleagues.
Qualifications:
- More than 5 years of related experience in a supply chain function and work experience.
- Profound knowledge in scheduling, manufacturing and resupply processes.
- Underlying knowledge of scheduling tools and systems.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (German is a plus).
- A good understanding of supply networks.
- Being capable of handling complex situations.
- Being able to professionally handle work pressure (time and quality sensitive).
- Being solution oriented, positive thinking.
- Demonstrating flexibility, reacting to disturbances.
- Having a hands‑on mentality, proactive, do, act.
