Job summary

Fairphone seeks an experienced professional to lead the Planning and Supply Chain function for growth in consumer electronics. You will shape the planning model, drive automation, and implement AI-enabled processes across departments.

You’ll manage demand, supply, inventory, and outbound logistics, collaborating with product, finance, and operations in an international environment. The role requires 5+ years in SCM with FMCG/consumer electronics and strong digital literacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, FMCG or consumer electronics.
• Formal training in SCM, Agile development, Data science, Gen/Agentic AI development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Planning Model: deliver ONE planning model, MVP delivery, expand across categories and time horizon, add AI analytics layer.
• Process Automation: map and automate operations processes; engage internal/external teams to develop automation or agents.
• Inventory: manage Fairphone inventory strategically and operationally to ensure deliveries and financial reconciliation.
• Outbound deliveries: secure deliveries to customers per plan.
• Support Product Master and EPR data activities, reporting and compliance.

About your role

The essence of the role is to step-up Fairphone Planning and Supply Chain function to be fit for growth and best-in-class in Consumer Electronics on Supply Chain Management. This includes all Supply Chain related activities related to planning, demand management, supply and production plan, inbound and outbound logistics. To be future ready, these activities will need to be set-up with a simple digital infrastructure, with ONE core model servicing multiple teams and business needs (commercials, product, finance, supply chain, impact), with automation capabilities and advanced AI functionality. To be successful in the role, you will need to bring strong experience in Supply Chain Management in FMCG/Consumer Electronics. Digital literacy and knowledge in automation/AI agent development is a must, paired with a drive to deliver on the objectives with a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

Your Key Responsibilities

• Planning Model: deliver ONE planning model, incl. Minimum Viable Product (MVP) delivery, expanding across categories, timeline, component level planning and time horizon. Include AI layer to analyze internal trends, market insights and outliers.

• Process Automation: Support the wider Ops team to automate Operations processes - map processes, identify activities that can be automate, engage internally/external to develop automation or agents

• Inventory: Manage Fairphone inventory, both at a strategic level to free up cash flow and at an operational level to ensure adequate deliveries and financial reconciliation

• Outbound deliveries: Secure outbound deliveries, i.e. that products are delivered to customers according to plan

• SupportProduct Master and EPR dataactivities, reporting and compliance

Your Key Objectives

• Implement a streamlined and highly effective Demand and Supply Planning model for all Fairphone products.

• Digitize Fairphone’s Planning and Supply Chain activities.

• Maximize the automation of manual processes across Fairphone Operations.

• Manage Fairphone inventory and allocation for outbound deliveries, product master data, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) activities.

Core Activities

Your Skills & Experience

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Consumer Electronics, FMCG or any relevant consumer facing sectors, in supply chain management, operations or data functions.

• You have some formal training in Supply chain management, Agile development, Data science, Gen/Agentic AI development (degree check)

• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Preferably, you are familiar with working with macOS, Google Workspace, and Basecamp.
