Fairphone in Amsterdam seeks a Business Development Manager for The Netherlands to expand the B2B reseller network, driving sustainable and repairable devices as the preferred long-term mobile estate.

You will act as a strategic consultant to partners, showing how Fairphone helps clients meet ESG goals and Dutch due diligence rules, while delivering ROI and durable device longevity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Development or Account Management in Dutch mobile/ICT
• Proven track record with B2B reseller partnerships
• Strong network within Dutch Mobile Network Operators and reseller sales teams
• Experience building partnerships from scratch and long-term account plans
• Familiarity with CRM tools and Google Workspace; understanding of Device Management

Responsibilities

• Reseller management: onboard and manage B2B resellers, VARs, and IT service providers in The Netherlands
• Channel enablement: train reseller sales teams on sustainability and repairability messaging
• Sales lifecycle: manage from lead generation through channel to close
• Forecasting: maintain clean sales funnel and provide forecasting for Dutch B2B
• Market strategy: develop GTM plan aligned with ESG and local market nuances
• Brand ambassadorship: represent Fairphone at events in the Netherlands
• Internal collaboration: work with Marketing and Supply Chain for partner support

About Your Role

As our Business Development Manager for The Netherlands, you will be at the forefront of shifting the mobile industry from a "disposable" model to a "durable" one. Your mission is to prove to Dutch enterprises that sustainability is not just a moral choice, but a superior financial strategy.

From day one, you will lead the expansion of our B2B reseller network, positioning Fairphone as the premier solution for companies looking to lower their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through device longevity and repairability. You will act as a strategic consultant to our partners, helping them show their clients how Fairphone directly contributes to achieving ESG targets and complying with the Dutch Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG). You aren't just selling a phone; you are delivering a long-term ROI and a future-proof mobile estate.

Your Profile:

• B2B Channel Expert: You have a deep understanding of how the reseller ecosystem works.
• Storyteller: You possess the rare ability to translate complex ethical and environmental values into a compelling commercial business case.
• Self-motivated: You thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and take full ownership of your territory.
• Linguistic Precision: Native-level proficiency in Dutch and excellent professional English are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

• Reseller Management: Prospect, onboard, and manage a network of B2B resellers, VARs (Value Added Resellers), and IT service providers across The Netherlands.
• Channel Enablement: Conduct training and workshops for reseller sales teams to ensure they can effectively pitch Fairphone’s unique sustainability and repairability story.
• Sales Lifecycle: Manage the full sales cycle from initial lead generation through the channel to deal closure.
• Forecasting & Funnel: Maintain a clean, accurate sales funnel and provide reliable forecasting for the Dutch B2B market.
• Market Strategy: Develop and execute a Go-To-Market (GTM) plan that aligns with Fairphone’s mission and local market nuances (e.g., ESG requirements and the Lieferkettengesetz).
• Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Fairphone at key industry events, trade shows, and partner conferences in the Netherlands region.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless delivery and tailored support for your partners.

Your Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Account Management within the Dutch mobile phone or ICT industry.
• Proven track record of managing and growing B2B Reseller partnerships.
• A strong existing network within the Dutch Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and reseller sales teams.
• Experience building successful partnerships from scratch and developing long-term account plans.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and Google Workspace; ability to build business cases in Google Sheets. And understanding of Device Management solutions.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a multicultural team.
