Job summary

Delft University of Technology is seeking a PhD candidate to study MRI-based flow measurements in inertial dense suspensions as part of the ERC Advanced Grant project IDeS. You will investigate densely‑laden pipe flows, using MRI and velocimetry to reveal velocity and concentration profiles in opaque suspensions.

  • MSc degree and strong foundation in multiphase fluid dynamics.
  • Proven experience with experimental work and drive to improve techniques.
  • Image/data processing skills in Python or Matlab.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental research in dense suspensions using MRI and velocimetry.
  • Publish results in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Mentor BSc and MSc students and collaborate with team members.
  • Engage in professional development through technical and non‑technical courses.
