TU Delft invites applications for a PhD position in Operational Analysis and Assessment of New Aircraft Concepts. The project investigates how mixed aircraft concepts affect safety, efficiency and capacity, with emphasis on ATM innovations and trajectory-based operations.

You will extend BlueSky into a scenario generator within a larger simulation framework. The PhD is part of the Dutch Aviation Systems Analysis Lab (DASAL), a TU Delft–NLR collaboration, in a diverse, interdisciplinary team

Formación

• MSc in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong physics and mathematics background, ideally with ATM knowledge.
• Strong Python coding background.

Responsabilidades

• Learn independently and conduct high-quality research.
• Contribute to the development and extension of the BlueSky simulator.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across TU Delft, NLR and policy makers.
