Job summary

InnoSer Leiden is recruiting for a PhD position embedded in the POLARIS consortium to characterise leukodystrophy mouse models and evaluate interventions. You will conduct longitudinal studies, perform behavioural and neurological phenotyping, and develop an automated EEG analysis pipeline.

The project integrates preclinical neuroscience with clinical translation, involving Amsterdam UMC and international partners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, preferably Neuroscience.
  • Experience with in vivo mouse studies gained through internships, thesis work or other research projects.
  • Interest in behavioural or neurological phenotyping and animal welfare.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to relate preclinical findings to endpoints.
  • Good communication and collaboration in international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Characterise leukodystrophy mouse models longitudinally.
  • Perform behavioural and neurological phenotyping.
  • Develop an automated EEG analysis pipeline.
  • Evaluate selected therapies in leukodystrophy models.
  • Collaborate with InnoSer, Amsterdam UMC and POLARIS partners.
