Job summary

Amsterdam UMC invites applications for a 48-month MSCA Doctoral Network PhD position within the Intensive Care and laboratory medicine teams. This BIO-MICRO project aims to advance micronutrient diagnostics for personalised ICU care and will involve diverse cohorts and advanced analyses.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Nutrition, Molecular Biology, or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
  • Adequate knowledge of statistics, including experience with data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multicentre observational clinical study.
  • Include patients, obtain deferred consent from families, ensure serial blood sampling and laboratory analyses.
  • Maintain accurate data entry in electronic case report forms and oversee all study activities across centres.
  • Contribute to translation of research outcomes towards clinical application during secondments.
