SCM, Software for Chemistry & Materials B.V., Amsterdam, invites applications for a fully-funded Marie Curie PhD fellowship in Theoretical Chemistry/Physics. The project focuses on vibrational spectroscopy of chiral molecules on surfaces, using DFT and AMS, with opportunities to contribute to method development and collaboration across European partners.

Applicants should hold an MSc in chemistry or physics, have an interest in quantum chemistry or molecular physics, and be prepared to work in

Qualifications

• MSc graduates with an interest in chemistry/physics or related fields.
• Theoretical chemistry/physics MSc graduates with an interest in quantum chemistry or molecular physics.

Responsabilités

• Research and develop methods for the simulation of vibrational spectroscopies of chiral molecules on surfaces.
• Develop methods for the calculation of IR and VCD for chiral molecules on surfaces.
• Improve computational efficiency by focusing calculations on the most relevant parts of the spectrum.
