University of Twente in the Netherlands offers a fully funded PhD position to convert silicon-rich waste into high-quality silicon and silicon-carbide feedstocks for additive manufacturing. The role combines mechanochemical processing, powder/ceramic characterisation, additive manufacturing, mechanical and thermal testing, and data-driven structure–property modelling.

Applicants should hold an MSc in materials science and engineering or a closely related field, with experience in powder

Competenze

• MSc in materials science and engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with powder processing, ceramics or additive manufacturing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of machine learning or materials characterization is beneficial.
