Job summary

UMCG in Groningen invites applications to join the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network PREFERENCE in molecular imaging. You will pursue research under three professors and international coaches, while training across academia and industry, including secondments with European partners.

You will register for a PhD at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen, aiming for conference presentations, peer‑reviewed journals, open‑source software and eventual clinical products.

Qualifications

• BSc and MSc degrees in Physics, Medical Physics, Computer Science, AI or Biomedical Engineering.
• Excellent command of English; IELTS/TOEFL language requirements noted.
• Interest in using new technologies and an innovative mindset.
• Knowledge of C++ and Python, and ability to perform experiments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pursue research towards the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network project.
• Register for a PhD with the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen.
• Collaborate with three professors and international coaches; participate in training and secondments.
