Job summary

Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) offers a fully-funded PhD position within the ASCENT project. Qualifications

• MSc in ecology or environmental sciences required.
• Experience in ecological laboratory or field work.
• Experience with remote sensing.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Quantify responses of Essential Biodiversity Variables to nitrogen deposition in long-term field experiments.
• Link trait and functional measurements to hyperspectral EO data.
• Collaborate with PhDs and postdocs to collect data and integrate findings into models.
• Publish findings in PhD thesis and articles, present at meetings.
