Job summary

BlueAlp in the Netherlands is seeking a Software Engineer PCS7 to join the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Team. You will develop PLC and HMI solutions, program process equipment, and ensure reliability of automation systems in a fast-growing climate tech company.

The role involves collaboration with E&I, Process and Licensing teams, testing on site, and occasional travel. A HBO-level engineering background, PLC/PCS7 experience, and fluency in English are required.

Qualifications

• Higher professional education (HBO) level
• Education in electrical engineering/mechatronics
• Ability to read P&IDs
• Experience with programming process equipment or installations
• Knowledge of development processes and risk analyses
• Experience with Siemens PLCs
• VCA certificate or willingness to obtain it
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Driver's license B
• 0-5 years of work experience
• Accuracy
• Analytical skills
• Ability to work together
• Ability to work independently
• Willing to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC and HMI solutions and integrate peripheral equipment.
• Guarantee quality, reliability and functionality of automation systems.
• Collaborate with E&I, Process and Licensing engineering teams.
• Create clear alarm structures and design specifications.
• Test PLCs in the workshop and assist commissioning on site.
• Maintain documentation and revision history of software/hardware.
• Provide remote support to commissioning engineers.
