Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is seeking multiple bachelor thesis supervisors for the Department of Clinical, Neuro- & Developmental Psychology to guide small groups of students through their bachelor theses from 1 February to 31 July 2027. This temporary, part-time role involves teaching, supervising, and providing feedback in an academic setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Psychology or related field, with research writing experience, statistical knowledge (SPSS/R/JASP) and English

Qualifications

• A (Research) Master’s degree in Psychology or related field (PhD or BKO advantageous).
• Experience with scientific writing (thesis/publication/report).
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis in SPSS, R or JASP.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience supervising or teaching students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of bachelor students during their thesis project.
• Help students formulate research questions, choose design and write a research proposal.
• Support students with data analysis and interpretation of results.
• Provide written and oral feedback on drafts of the proposal and the thesis.
• Assess and grade theses using the programme’s assessment criteria.
• Monitor academic integrity and faculty guidelines on GenAI tools.
