Job summary

An innovative start-up in semiconductor manufacturing located in Delft is seeking a Parametric Amplifier R&D Engineer. This full-time role requires ownership of technical development for Josephson Travelling Wave Parametric Amplifiers with an emphasis on pushing performance limits of qubit readout amplifiers. Candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent experience in quantum-limited amplification and have knowledge of qubit readout amplification and TWPAs. Qualifications

Job description

Our innovative start-up client in the Netherlands is now searching for a Parametric Amplifier R&D Engineer to take ownership of the technical development and performance improvement of our Josephson Travelling Wave Parametric Amplifiers. The role will involve pushing the performance of qubit readout amplifiers to their physical limits by providing the technical direction of the full development loop.

The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team, including qubit and TWPA designers and experimental engineers and will collaborate closely with other teams.

The role requires the following:

  • Knowledge of qubit readout amplification, TWPAs, IPAs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced R&D environment
  • Hands‑on experience with the development cycle – design, simulation, fabrication etc.
  • PhD or equivalent industry experience in quantum‑limited amplification
