Job summary

Wim Peters Kwekerijen in Someren is seeking a production leader for the packing hall to ensure high-quality packaging of our tomatoes. You will lead a diverse team, coordinate people, processes and machines, and drive continuous improvement in packaging and automation.

You will work closely with sales, cultivation, QA and logistics, manage schedules, monitor bottlenecks, and prepare the hall for the new season. English required; knowledge of other languages a plus due to diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: you will lead 20–50 employees, motivate teams, mentor new colleagues and ensure a strong team spirit.
• Process Optimization & Planning: you monitor schedules, analyze bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Technology & Innovation: you ensure that packaging lines function optimally, resolve minor malfunctions and work on automation and expansion.
• Quality & Safety: you ensure product quality, hygiene and safety regulations and perform checks on packaging materials and processes.
• Internal and external communications: you will coordinate with sales, cultivation, QA and logistics colleagues and maintain short lines of communication with internal and external partners.
• Other: you prepare the hall in quiet months for the new season and work on digitization and process improvement.
