Job summary

Viking Masek Packaging Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to lead packaging automation projects from quote to completion. You’ll own scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and customer communication across departments to deliver high-quality solutions.

As the main point of contact, you’ll guide projects through lifecycle, manage risks and changes, and ensure requirements are met with strong focus on mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience managing technical or capital equipment projects; packaging machinery experience preferred.
• Experience in a role requiring strong technical aptitude, such as engineering, design, or maintenance.
• Experience in a role requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation with a win-win attitude.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, resources, milestones, and budgets.
• Align Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and other internal teams to align project goals, deliverables, timelines, and priorities.
• Manage Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee Technical Execution: Interpret mechanical and automation system specifications and work with technical teams to ensure project requirements are understood and achievable.
• Manage Risk & Change: Identify project risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Drive Project Success: Monitor project performance against deadlines, budgets, and customer expectations.
• Improve & Learn: Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project execution.
