Job summary

CloudScaler Technologies is seeking an experienced OT Cybersecurity Specialist for a client in the public transport sector. The role focuses on strengthening cybersecurity and resilience within the vehicle domain, collaborating with IT, OT, security, asset management and external suppliers.

You will translate the OT Security Roadmap into practical measures for connected vehicles and supporting systems, perform risk assessments, advise on security by design, and contribute to ISMS/CSMS and PDCA

Qualifications

• HBO-level education in Cybersecurity, IT, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IT/OT, industrial automation or technical system integration.
• Strong knowledge of IP networks, Firewalls, Routers and switches, VLANs, Network segmentation, Secure remote access.
• Experience with cybersecurity risk assessments and implementing security measures.
• Experience with vulnerability management, patch management, security by design, security assessments.
• Good Dutch and English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and connect technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen OT cybersecurity across vehicle systems and environments.
• Set up and improve OT asset, vulnerability and patch management.
• Advise on security by design, network segmentation and secure remote access.
• Support secure communication between vehicles and shore-based systems.
• Perform cybersecurity risk and gap assessments.
• Translate identified risks into practical technical security measures.
• Assess technical designs, projects and system changes from a cybersecurity perspective.
• Translate security requirements into technical and supplier specifications.
• Support security assessments, audits and penetration tests.
• Support OT security incident response and follow-up activities.
• Contribute to ISMS/CSMS and PDCA processes.
• Work closely with technical specialists, IT/security teams, project teams, asset managers and external suppliers.
• Translate the OT Security Roadmap into practical and achievable measures within the vehicle domain.

The role focuses on strengthening cybersecurity and resilience within the vehicle domain, working closely with IT, OT, security, asset management, technical teams and external suppliers.

Requirements

• HBO-level education in Cybersecurity, IT, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IT/OT, industrial automation or technical system integration.
• Strong knowledge of: IP networks, Firewalls, Routers and switches, VLANs, Network segmentation, Secure remote access
• Experience with cybersecurity risk assessments and implementing security measures.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Vulnerability management
• Patch management
• Security by design
• Security assessments
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and connect technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in OT/industrial cybersecurity.
• Experience in public transport, railways, rolling stock or automotive.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, vehicle control, telematics, SCADA or IC.
• Experience with industrial automation and OT environments.
• Knowledge of network architecture and vendor management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, IEC 62443 or CLC/TS 50701.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, IEC 62443 or CCNA.
• Strong analytical and risk-based approach.
• Independent and proactive working style.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity risks into practical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration.
• Ability to work across IT, OT, engineering and security teams.
