Job summary

NRG PALLAS zoekt een ervaren OT Cybersecurity Architect om cybersecurity integraal te ontwerpen en te implementeren in de OT- en enterprise‑architectuur van de PALLAS‑reactor, met focus op veilige integratie gedurende gehele lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 8 jaar ervaring met cybersecurity in kritieke infrastructuur.
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als architect in de nuclear sector.
• Gedegen ervaring met IEC 62443 in OT/industriele omgevingen.
• TOGAF en/of ArchiMate certificering of gelijkwaardige ervaring.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunen en begeleiden van de integratie van cybersecurity in de digitale bedrijfsstrategie van de PALLAS‑reactor.

Role Summary

For the development and commissioning of the PALLAS Reactor, we are looking for an experienced IT/OT Cybersecurity Architect.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding the development, integration, and implementation of cybersecurity within the Operational Technology (OT) environment of the PALLAS Reactor.

You will operate at the intersection of OT, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and nuclear safety. Your responsibility will be to ensure that cybersecurity is fully integrated into the architecture and technical implementation of the reactor and production environment, from the design phase through to commissioning.

You will work closely with various disciplines, including OT engineering, IT, cybersecurity, system architecture, suppliers, and project and commissioning teams.

The role therefore requires someone who can think both strategically and architecturally, while also possessing sufficient technical depth to effectively assess and guide cybersecurity challenges within complex OT environments.

This is a challenging architecture role for an experienced OT cybersecurity professional who wants to apply their expertise within a unique nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an OT Cybersecurity Architect, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding:

• The integration of cybersecurity into the digital enterprise strategy of the PALLAS Reactor for the production environments.
• The integration of PALLAS Reactor OT systems with the PALLAS cybersecurity reference architecture and associated Cyber Security Support systems.
• Guiding the full lifecycle of cybersecurity solutions, including:
• acquisition;
• onboarding;
• installation;
• integration;
• testing;
• acceptance;
• commissioning.
• Ensuring the secure integration of OT systems within the PALLAS Reactor and their connection to IT business systems.
• Assessing and guiding cybersecurity aspects throughout the onboarding, installation, integration, testing, acceptance, and commissioning of these connections.
• Applying cybersecurity principles within critical security and safety systems.
• Ensuring alignment between the cybersecurity architecture, OT architecture, and the broader enterprise architecture.
• Supporting design decisions and translating cybersecurity requirements into concrete architectural and integration solutions.

Essential

Due to the specific requirements of the nuclear environment, we are looking for an experienced professional who can connect cybersecurity with technical OT systems, architecture, and lifecycle management.

You Have

• At least 8 years of demonstrable experience implementing cybersecurity within critical infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience as an architect within the nuclear sector, experience within the nuclear sector is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience applying IEC 62443 in OT/industrial environments.
• A TOGAF certification, or at least 8 years of demonstrable equivalent experience in enterprise/system architecture.
• An ArchiMate certification, or at least 8 years of demonstrable equivalent experience in architectural modelling.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Other Requirements

The PALLAS reactor is being built in Petten, so travel to Petten will be required. The main office location is also Petten.

VGB-B security screening is required.

Work under the final agreement is performed under the supervision of the applicable NRG PALLAS manager. Therefore the ''Modelovereenkomst inlening personeel'' is applicable (see attached).

• Does the candidate hold any TOGAF and ArchiMate certification, or at least 8 years of demonstrable equivalent experience in enterprise/system architecture. Evaluation will be based on the information in the CV.
