Operating at IT-OT junctures, you will design robust security for OT environments and guide customers through threat landscapes while ensuring operational continuity.

Qualifications

We are seeking an IT-OT Cyber Security Expert passionate about protecting mission-critical Operational Technology (OT) systems in industries such as utilities, production, and logistics. Operating at the juncture of IT and OT, this role focuses on creating robust security solutions for OT environments, while helping customers navigate the increasingly complex threat landscape.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping define strategies, best practices and technology to address OT security challenges. Working closely with CISOs, customer teams, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure operational continuity while securing OT systems from current and emerging threats. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the OT cybersecurity domain.

Responsibilities

• Define scalable frameworks, methodologies, and tools for securing OT environments, enabling secure by design.
• Lead the design and deployment of OT-specific detection and response capabilities for mission-critical systems, addressing both basic to advanced threats.
• Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise to CISOs and customer teams in threat intelligence, risk assessments, secure by design, detection and incident response planning.
• Represent Schuberg Philis as a thought leader in IT-OT security, building trust among customer teams, OT operators, and C-suite executives.
• Evaluate emerging OT-focused security technologies and approaches, constantly refining strategies to meet evolving threats.
• Advocate for security solutions that not only protect safety and reliability but also foster innovation and transformation in OT environments.

Who You Are

• Extensive experience with OT environments (10+ years of experience), including industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA, and addressing their security challenges.
• Hands-on capability with OT-specific detection solutions, incident response, and IT-OT security operations integration.
• Deep understanding of the nuances of OT systems and the need to maintain operational continuity without disrupting critical services.
• Skilled in identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing threat landscapes, and guiding mitigation and recovery strategies for mission-critical operations.
• Ability to articulate security strategies to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives, and drive operational improvements.
• Experience in creating scalable security standards, methodologies, and tools tailored to OT environments.
• Ability to see cybersecurity as a growth driver and lead through innovation rather than compliance-focused approaches.
