Job summary

Nouryon in Deventer is seeking a Researcher in Organometallic Chemistry to conduct experimental work and explore innovations for our organometallic products in the polymer industry. This full-time role is based at our Deventer location within a global team delivering sustainable solutions.

You will generate ideas, perform experiments, troubleshoot setups, and collaborate with Technology and production sites to advance projects and transfer knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in organic chemistry.
• Additional organometallic and/or polymer chemistry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and validate new ideas for R&D projects aligned with market trends.
• Conduct experiments to develop ideas into commercial products or solutions, including building, adapting, and troubleshooting experimental setups as needed.
• Applying chemical knowledge and creativity to solve lab challenges, from equipment mods to process workarounds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support R&D initiatives across sites.
• Work with Technology group and Nouryon production sites to drive projects.
