Job summary

European Space Agency invites a Master’s student to join the Mechanical Department - Opto-Electronics Section in Noordwijk, NL, for an internship. You will work on photonic components, detectors and lasers, supporting testbeds, simulations and data acquisition tasks.

The role requires enrollment for the full duration of the program and fluency in English (French is a plus). Prior lab experience with optical setups or CAD is advantageous. A diverse and inclusive workplace awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be a university student, preferably in final or second-to-last year of a Master’s programme.
• Must be enrolled at the university for the entire duration of the internship.
• Working languages are English and French; knowledge of another ESA language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and calibration of laboratory setups for optoelectronic instruments.
• Contribute to software tools for data acquisition and simulation.
• Support integration, testing and qualification activities in the Optoelectronics Lab.
• Document and report on experimental results and methodology.
