Job summary

At NTS Optel, we are seeking an Optical Lead Engineer to develop innovative optical systems and modules for high-tech applications. You will translate customer needs into robust optical solutions and contribute throughout the full development cycle from concept to prototype validation and product realization.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in optical systems development.
• Proven expertise in optical design, modelling, and Zemax simulations.
• Hands-on experience with system integration and characterization.

Responsibilities

• Designing and optimizing optical systems and modules.
• Translating customer and system requirements into optical concepts and specifications.
• Performing optical simulations and analyses, preferably using Zemax.
• Selecting and specifying optical components and subsystems.
• Developing, integrating and testing prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
• Defining and executing verification and validation activities to ensure performance requirements are met.
