Job summary

DORC Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center (International) is seeking a hands-on R&D Engineer for Verification and Validation with a strong focus on medical electrical equipment. You will verify and validate ophthalmic systems across module, software, and full system levels, collaborating with development teams to ensure safe, compliant devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field related to V&V.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on V&V of electrical equipment.
• Experience with system/module/software verification for electromechanical systems.
• Experience in regulated environments; medical device exposure favored.
• Experience using statistical methods for evaluation.
• Familiar with market test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Translate system and module requirements into verification strategies and protocols with full traceability.
• Develop and execute verification activities for medical electrical equipment and system testing.
• Design sampling plans, collect data, and analyze results to demonstrate compliance.
• Improve verification methods and documentation quality actively.
• Plan and perform product validation to confirm user needs and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare high quality test protocols, reports, and objective evidence for submissions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external test labs to align V&V with milestones.
• Contribute to device benchmarking and engineering changes.
