Job summary

Peddler is seeking a student-friendly part-time Operations Specialist / Rider Controller in Amsterdam. You will be the direct point of contact for our bicycle couriers and help keep deliveries running smoothly while supporting cross‑team communication.

You’ll motivate riders, monitor performance, resolve incidents, and adapt to morning, afternoon, or evening shifts. This role offers hands-on startup experience and a chance to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Student status required.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Able to adapt to shifts and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and guide bike couriers to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Direct contact and communication between teams (customer service, routers).
• Identify and resolve incidents proactively and effectively.
• Monitor courier performance and support their growth and development.

As Operations Specialist / Rider Controller, you will play a crucial role in our Operations team and be the direct point of contact for our bicycle couriers.

What you'll do

• Motivate and encourage: Direct our bike couriers and work with your team to ensure all deliveries run smoothly and keep our riders motivated.

• Direct contact and communication between teams: keep in touch with departments such as customer service and routers to keep operations running smoothly.

• Problem solving: address and resolve incidents proactive and effectively.

• Ensure that riders can perform at their best: Monitor the performance of our couriers and help them grow and develop.

• You areagreat communicator: You can express yourself clearly in both Dutch and English, both written and orally.

• Empathetic and approachable: You can make people feel heard and you are comfortable helping people.

• Flexible: You can sign up for different shifts: morning, afternoon or evening. Whatever is convenient for you!
