Join our team in Southern Netherlands!

We are extending our AVRR team and looking for a counsellor to help beneficiaries make an informed decision about voluntary return.
As part of IOM’s AVRR team, you will support beneficiaries who wish to return to their country of origin. Your focus will be mainly on Syrian nationals.

Operations Assistant – Counsellor Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR)
Mainly in Limburg, Noord-Brabant, Southern Gelderland.
37.5 hours per week

Work in a diverse, international environment.

As part of IOM’s AVRR team, you will support beneficiaries who wish to return to their country of origin. Your role includes:

• Counselling & decision-making.
• Voluntary return assistance.
• Support to vulnerable migrants.

About You

We are looking for colleagues who:

• Have a genuine interest in migration issues.
• Are motivated to support beneficiaries facing difficult circumstances.
• Are fluent in (Levantine/Syrian) Arabic, Dutch and English.
• Are hands on, proactive and able to work under time pressure.
• Have strong coordination and communication skills.
• Have a driving licence.
• Are based in our region and willing to travel to locations in Limburg, Noord-Brabant, Southern Gelderland (and within the Netherlands when necessary)
