Job summary

ZARA in Groningen seeks an Operational Store Deputy to own the store's operational flow and collaborate with the Operations Manager and Store Manager to move products efficiently from delivery to shop floor, supporting availability and performance.

You will lead a team, optimize customer-facing operations in the sales area, and pursue improvements that enhance commercial results while ensuring Health & Safety standards and sustainability commitments are followed.

As a Operational Store Deputy, you take ownership of the operational flow of the store. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Store Manager, you ensure that product moves efficiently from delivery to shop floor, supporting both availability and overall store performance.

You combine structure with agility. You are responsible for managing the customer-facing aspects of the store's daily operations in the sales area and you are actively looking for ways to optimize operations and support commercial results.

You play a key role in connecting teams. Through consistent communication with the operations team, other departments, and managers, you ensures the smooth and efficient running of the operational processes in the sales area: store entrance, maintenance, replenishment, fitting rooms, tills.

Leading your team is an essential part of your role. You analyze customer flow in order to maximize coverage in various areas, set clear expectations, and monitor performance to ensure goals are met. You create a collaborative and inclusive environment where efficiency, accountability, and teamwork drive results.

You also take responsibility for maintaining operational standards, supporting security procedures to reduce stock loss, ensuring Health & Safety practices are followed, and contributing to the company's sustainability commitments in everyday operations.
