Are you a strong communicator with analytical skills and a passion for process optimization? Join PPG as anOperational Portfolio Specialistand play a key role in managing product portfolios, supporting new launches, and driving strategic decisions across Region West.

Job Purpose

The Operational Portfolio Specialist is responsible for minimizing the “Time to Market” for new activities within Region West. You support commercial and marketing teams in finalizing business cases, monitor the profitability of existing assortments, identify weak spots in the live portfolio, and lead Post Launch Reviews. You are a key driver in executing decisions and improving portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Case Support

  • Provide supply-related input to commercial teams for business case preparation for the Product Management Review Board (PMR)
  • Inform all supply-related teams about upcoming changes and consult in case of potential issues
  • Act as central point of contact for cross-regional requests and collaborate closely with Interregional Portfolio Specialists

New Activities

  • Participate in projects related to new innovations or assortment changes
  • Ensure an integrated supply chain approach to new activities
  • Monitor project deadlines and resolve issues
  • Maintain an overview of all ongoing projects and resources
  • Chair the weekly New Activities meeting
  • Provide initial training and ongoing support to project managers

Intercompany Coordination

  • Manage all intercompany product launches for cross-regional activities (NL manufactured and NL sold)

Portfolio Review

  • Analyze and categorize the current portfolio based on PMR guidelines
  • Inform the commercial department about required actions and monitor progress
  • Coordinate article deletion in collaboration with commercial and finance teams

Post Launch Review

  • Initiate, analyze, and present Post Launch Review results to the PMR Board

Data Integrity

  • Ensure all relevant and agreed master data is correctly stored and maintained in systems such as SAP and AS400
Your Profile
  • Strong knowledge of internal interdepartmental processes within Region West
  • Experience with PPG systems: SAP, AS400, Every Angle, Winshuttle
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Fluency in Dutch is required
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to simplify complex information
  • Advanced IT skills, especially in numerical applications like Excel
