Let’s Talk About The Role

Operational Excellence at MSIG integrates Process Management, Artificial Intelligence, and Inhouse Consulting to drive cross‑functional improvement across the organization. Through structured problem‑solving and the pragmatic application of modern technologies, the function drives sustainable gains in efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. In this context, the Operational Excellence Consultant acts as an inhouse consultant, leading end‑to‑end improvement initiatives from problem identification and root‑cause analysis through to solution design and implementation. Working closely with business owners across core insurance functions such as underwriting, claims, and operations, the role identifies inefficiencies, develops scalable solutions, and ensures that improvements deliver measurable, sustainable value aligned with MSIG’s strategic priorities.

On a Day To Day Basis, You Will

• Lead and facilitate cross‑functional improvement initiatives, including automation and AI projects, across underwriting, claims, and operations, from problem definition through to implementation
• Act as an inhouse consultant, working closely with business owners to understand operational challenges, identify inefficiencies, and define improvement opportunities
• Identify and support the pragmatic use of automation and artificial intelligence, ensuring solutions are business‑driven, compliant, and embedded into existing processes
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods (e.g. root‑cause analysis, data analysis, process mapping) to develop pragmatic and scalable solutions
• Define success metrics and track benefits, ensuring improvements deliver measurable and sustainable value
• Prepare clear, structured decision materials, business cases and recommendations for senior management
• Balance quick wins with sustainable, long‑term improvement

Who Are We Looking For?

• Strong background in Operational Excellence, Inhouse Consulting, Management Consulting, or Process Management
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial insurance, with a solid understanding of core value chains such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, and risk management
• Experience in leading cross‑functional initiatives end‑to‑end, from problem identification to implementation
• Solid hard skills in process optimization, structured problem‑solving and stakeholder management
• You turn complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions and are comfortable working in agile environments
• Experience in automation, digital transformation, or Artificial Intelligence is a strong plus
• High level of ownership, accountability, and pragmatism, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on
• Personality: curious, structured, resilient, and confident, with an in‑house consultant mindset and a passion for driving sustainable change
