Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an enthusiastic Operational Buyer/Planner in Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands. The role focuses on ensuring timely materials, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining master data for optimal procurement.

With a strong emphasis on ownership and collaboration, you will contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing processes and work closely with internal stakeholders to meet delivery expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and thinking level.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Order Management: Placing purchase orders and monitoring delivery times.
• Invoice Management: Checking and approving invoices with minimal price discrepancies.
• Complaints/ Repairs: Handling complaints and repairs involving suppliers.
• Analysis/ Process Improvement: Analyzing inventory strategies and stock levels to drive purchasing improvements.

As part of our Planning & Procurement team in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands, you will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and outsourced assemblies are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

The Operational Buyer at JBT Marel manages day-to-day purchasing activities, coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensures timely material availability. The role follows established procedures to resolve routine purchasing issues while developing procurement expertise under guidance.

What you will do:

• Order Management

  • Analyzing, identifying, and proposing actions regarding inventory strategies and stock levels.
  • Conducting analyses to drive improvements in the purchasing process.

What you will bring:

• Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and thinking level.
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with vocational background and substantial relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
