Job summary

Fokker Services Group seeks an Operational Buyer to procure materials and subcontract repairs for parts manufacturing, ensuring on-time delivery at a competitive price and resolving non-conformities.

You will outsource components for testing/repair/overhaul, coordinate with suppliers on schedules and costs, and manage stock and vendor relationships in a dynamic international aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing supply chains is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English both written and spoken.

The team

As our Operational Buyer you will be part of our Outsourced Repairs team.

This team consists of 6 Operational Buyers.

The Supply Chain Lead will be your manager and coach.

What will you do?

As our Operational Buyer, you are responsible for acquiring materials for the manufacturing of new parts and/or subcontracting (repairs) at vendors. The goal is to get the orders delivered on time, at a competitive price and find solutions in case of non-conformities.

In Addition, You Are Responsible For, Among Other Things

• Planning and outsourcing components for the purpose of undergoing testing, repair and/or overhaul.
• Communicating with vendors regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns.
• Administrative management of the stock levels to meet the requirements.
• Conducting adequate administration for vendor management (quality, budget and availability).
• Developing and managing effective relationships with suppliers.
• Ensuring the correct quality controls at suppliers and internally.

What do you bring?

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Operational Buyer who enjoys working in a dynamic international aerospace environment. You have strong relationship skills and are comfortable managing multiple priorities. Furthermore, you have strong communication skills and an interest in developing commercial and negotiation skills. You take ownership of your work and effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

In Addition You Have

• Maximum of 2 years of work experience
• MBO+/HBO working and thinking level.
• A completed MBO+ or HBO education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Aviation or a related field.
• Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Eagerness to learn.
